About me

Hi! I'm Remy Wood, a full-stack software developer based in Reno, Nevada. I'm deeply passionate about many areas of web development and enjoy diving deeply into each one I touch. From accessibility and security to performance, maintainability, and beyond, I'm meticulous in keeping one each in mind throughout my work.

I have about half a decade of experience in software with most of those years being focused on web development. I'm comfortable both working across the whole stack and focusing just on one part of it. If you're interested in getting in touch to know more, check out my Contact page!

What I'm working on

In my spare time, I'm currently working on a version 2 of Ranger, a Bluesky-like social media app. Keep an eye on my Projects page for updates or to take a look at Ranger version 1.

I also occasionally dabble in game development. I've created several experiences with Unity and would consider myself decently experienced. At the moment, I'm messing around with some ideas for a Metroidvania.

My tools

While it would take a lot of words to go through all the tools I use on a daily basis, some of my favorites for making my development life more enjoyable have to be Tailwind CSS, Headless UI, and Next.js.

When I want to host a live demo or a website like this one, I usually turn to Cloudflare for my needs. For hosting personal project servers, I like to use my own hardware at home for the fulfillment of owning and setting it all up myself.
